Who it’s for
QR ordering, kitchen display and counter billing for QSRs
For quick-service restaurants, KioSync puts QR and counter orders into one kitchen queue and reads each new order aloud. With the KioSync Windows app, a KOT prints as soon as each cash order comes in, and an optional prep view totals items for batch cooking.
One queue for QR and counter orders
Orders from the table QR and orders rung up at the counter land in the same queue on the kitchen display (online orders once they’re paid). Both come from one menu, so a dish marked sold out is off QR and counter ordering at once, and KioSync refuses it at checkout even if a guest’s screen is out of date. Orders move through Queued, Preparing, Ready and Served, and ready orders close automatically after 5 minutes.
Batch prep with item totals
During a rush, the optional prep view totals the same item across tables, for example “Paneer Tikka ×5 — Table 6 ×4, Table 7 ×1”, so the kitchen can cook in batches. Prep view is switched on for your restaurant on request.
Pay first for takeaway rushes
With cash turned off, an order reaches the kitchen only after the payment gateway confirms payment, so the kitchen never starts cooking an unpaid order. Online orders appear on the kitchen screen only after payment is confirmed, whatever your cash setting, and online payments that are started but not finished cancel themselves after 20 minutes. Guests pay through your own Razorpay, PayU or PhonePe account and KioSync takes no commission; see payments. At the counter, staff mark orders paid and record whether the guest paid by cash, UPI, card and so on. Each guest gets an order number and a tracking page on their phone.
KOTs that print themselves with the Windows app
With the KioSync Windows app and a LAN thermal printer, a cash order’s KOT prints as soon as it’s placed and its bill once it’s paid; online orders print both once paid. Each print job is claimed by one device running the Windows app, so tickets don’t print twice. The Windows app prints while signed in with an owner, manager or counter staff login. More on KOT printing.
Fewer missed tickets
In a busy fast-food kitchen, each new order is read aloud in Hindi, Marathi or English, so cooks don’t have to keep checking the screen during a rush. The kitchen display updates in real time; while the connection is down it keeps checking for new orders, and it resyncs fully when the connection returns. Waiter calls from dine-in tables use a different chime from new orders.
Know your rush hours
Hourly sales on the Basic and Pro plans shows your sales hour by hour, so you can plan staff and prep around your peaks. Sales analytics on the Basic and Pro plans also shows item-wise sales, so you can see which dishes to prep ahead.
